A great message from the one-and-only, Cathy Savage: “Wishing for something doesn’t make it come to you. You need to work for anything that’s worthwhile. I hate when people say “I wish I had this” or “I wish I looked like that”. Wishing is wasting time. What I want to hear from you is: “This is my dream and this is my goal, and this is how I’m going to get there”. With every step, you will get closer and you must have a strategy. It may take weeks, months or even years but lay out your plan and take those steps each day to get there. This is what we call an ACTION PLAN!”
Cathy is one of the top fitness coaches out there, and her clients have the trophies, magazine covers and friendships to back this statement up. It’s almost the New Year, so get motivated! It’s your life, your dream, your commitment. Make it happen!
I am in the sweet spot of the dial-in…feeling super focused about my achieving my goals, feeling that “empty” feeling inside, and really clear-headed. I’ve drawn up a plan of the things I want to achieve in my life this next year, and in 2 years, and I feel invincible about moving forward. I CAN and I WILL! 🙂 My food logs are way more exact than they’ve ever been before, armed with all the knowledge I’ve gain over the past 2 years, and a stronger desire to keep better records for posterity, (if I’m going to be helping others with nutrition, I can’t just go by “feelings”, I need measurable quantities and recipes!). I’m heading off to the studio now to do my YOGA DAY, yippeeee: Bikram Beginner’s followed by Advanced, my favorite training day!!! Now that my body is back to 10% BF, the postures are becoming easy again, and I can feel my flexibility increasing by the day. My boyfriend told me last night that my face had changed, had started to thin out. I can see my lower abs again, and my legs are almost back to where they were, and it’s only been 11 days. I told my coach that I will be maintaining my body at this range after the shoot. I just wasn’t happy force-feeding all those extra calories in, and it didn’t really help me in terms of strength and muscle gains. I’ll be doing things much more naturally come February. It was worth a try, and now I know. Those “bodybuilding” type approaches to nutrition just aren’t for me!
I started my day with 4 oz of chicken marinated in some delicious thick yogurt, hot masala spice mix, some rice vinegar, fresh dill and 1/4 diced fuji apple. I’ll have 2 fried eggs between beginner’s and advanced, and then a thick strawberry smoothie after advanced class. I’m staying below 20 grams of carbs on these days…tomorrow is a “refeed” day at 90 grams of carbs…I can’t wait to eat my vegetables!!!
Much love to you all,
Michelle
