4 weeks out, WBFF…new breakfast menu!

July 31, 2011 by Michelle

Preparing for the WBFF World’s, I am now really confident that a high protein, high fat, low carb diet is the right choice for my body-type and metabolism. Not only in the case of getting “cut”, but in terms of the health and mobility of my muscles, joints and fascia. I have had the same experience in three of my post-show windows now: acidic stomach, slow digestion, water retention, extreme abdominal bloating, edema, poor mood, inflammation and joint pain. It couldn’t be more obvious to me that carbohydrates, especially of the grain and fruit variety, are not metabolized well by my body.
So, here is my breakfast, a 2 egg omelette, cooked in a little bit of ghee and pancetta drippings, a slice of crispy pancetta on top, and filled with a small crumble of feta cheese and sauteed red pepper, (about a Tablespoon). Topped with fresh basil from our little basil plant, and some smoked paprika, I’ll most likely be having variations of this breakfast for the next 4 weeks…
