I am new to video blogging, so please bear with me as I learn how to talk into a computer screen, lol….If you can’t quite catch what I was saying, here it is in a nutshell: I’m on my final dial-in for the IDFA Pro Championships in Toronto, July 23rd. I’ll also be able to compete at the SAF Summer show competing in both the Elite and Master’s Fitness Model division held one week earlier. Luckily we will have plenty of Bikram Yoga teachers here in Mumbai, so I’ve been able to change my flight home and come in much earlier than I had hoped for. As you know, I’m doing my dial in using auto-regulation to portion out my foods, as well as carb-cycling to drop those last few percentages of body-fat. My practice dial-in in April really showed my coaches and I how my body was going to respond to this protocol, and we have an extra 2 weeks to play with. The SAF likes a softer, feminine physique, so I won’t be doing any water protocol for that show, but my final week of conditioning for the IDFA show, I most likely will be dehydrating the night before the show. The like a much leaner, more athletic physique, so I’ll be going in as tight as I can!
Tomorrow is my last day with cheese and milk in my diet, which is pretty huge for me. In April I was able to get quite lean consuming a block of cheese/week and drinking 2 – 3 liters of whole milk/week. I am hoping for a noticeable response next week from cutting that out. The plan right now is to see how this first week goes taking out those foods, tightening up on my diet in general, but keeping my energies high. I like to practice bikram yoga every day on top of my heavy workouts, and I don’t want to go on stage feeling depleted if I don’t have to. I will most likely be cutting way back on refined fats like oils, even olive oil, as I prefer to eat nuts, whole eggs and salmon to get my fats, but of course everything will be guided by those weekly pictures! I’m also not taking any supplements or protein powders. I have found that my yoga practice keeps the lactic acid out of my tissues, I almost never get muscle soreness even after the heaviest workouts, and I’ve continued to get stronger throughout the weeks, even though I’m 40 and a woman, (who says we can’t increase production of iGF naturally after 30?!!)…I will try to come up with some new recipes, but I do admit that when dialing in I tend to go with favorites, but at least 4 new recipes/week I can manage, and this dial-in I really want to offer more vegetarian options. After reading more of Robert Cheeke’s work on vegetarian body-building, I know it won’t slow my progress down.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hey girl, great stuff, then I will see you backstage at te SAF show, as I’ll be competing in the Elite Fitness Model and Master’s category. Make sure to introduce yourself! My trainer has a few athletes in the IDFA show that night as well, and I have a friend I’m cheering on in the men’s division, so I’ll be there for you as well. Good luck with your dial-in. It’s all about how disciplined and intelligent your diet is at this stage, xo!!
