Asian Lamb Meatballs

June 6, 2012 by Michelle

These meatballs have a bit of an Asian kick to them, but you can put them into a variety of dishes, to be honest.

What you’ll need…
1 egg
2 tsp Tamari
1/4 small white onion, small dice
1 short stalk celery, small dice
8 white cocktail onions, (pickled), chopped
1 tsp powdered ginger
2 tsp Chinese 5 Spices Mix
2 lbs of ground lamb

Whisk the egg in the bottom of a large bowl, then mix in the rest of the ingredients, and when simply work in the lamb with your hands for about a minute or two, making sure you mix thoroughly.  Form quickly a la minute into small balls just slightly smaller than a golf ball, and they are ready to be used in soups and curries, or you can use it to fill won-ton wrappers for dumplings.  Yum!!!
