Monday morning, September 19, and I’m now down to the final 7 days of show-prep for what is to be my last show of the season. I have been holding pretty well since my last show end of August, but now it’s time to dial-in, so my diet is changing as well as my training for this last week.
Diet and Training:
black coffee, 1 square of 90% Lindt Chocolate, 1 tsp honey
25 minute metabolic-type work-out
Meal 1: 2 fried eggs, 1/2 grapefruit
Meal 2: 3 oz chicken, 1/2 cup low-carb vegetables
Bikram Yoga
Meal 3: very low carb protein shake, or another meal of 3 oz protein, 1/4 c LCV
Meal 4: 3 oz ground meat, 1/2 cup LCV
Workout 2
Meal 5: 3 oz fish, 1/4 cup LCV
Meal 6: 1/2 c steel cut oats, or a 2 egg omelette and 1 piece of bacon
Drinking 3- 5 liters/day
We are introducing a quick metabolic workout into my mornings to help stimulate glycogen depletion in my liver/muscles, and then by sticking to a ketogenic diet, I am trying to further stimulate lipolysis. I am also starting to load up on water, so on Day 1 I am hitting 3 liters of water, and by Saturday I will be drinking 5.5 liters of water….
