Necessary Asian Condiments & Sauces!

June 5, 2012 by Michelle

I’ve been having a total blast with new condiments and ingredients, focusing on super low-carb, low calorie, high-flavor mini-meals to get me show-ready.  I advise you to go out to the grocers and raid the asian section, (usually they will group thai, chinese and japanese condiments in the same area) as you WILL WANT TO TRY THESE SUPER EASY AND DELICOUS RECIPES…but that’s only my opinion!  I hope you like the next several recipes as much as I do.

Basics: Organic Coconut Milk, Red Curry Paste, Pickled Cocktail Onions, Mirin, Toasted Sesame Oil, Sambal Sauce, Chinese 5 Spice Mix, Thai Spice Mix, Peanuts, Fish Sauce, Water Chestnuts, (I also have a huge jar of Organic Rice Vinegar and Organic Tamari on hand at all times, and Organic Smooth Peanut Butter.
You should also have fresh ginger, basil and cilantro in the fridge, some spring onions/scallion, garlic and lime/lemons.  If you’re super low carb, you can use stevia to sweeten dishes, otherwise use a drizzle of honey or maple syrup when the recipes call for it.
