May 1st…last day of my regular diet protocol, which has been highly successful so far, making one very happy athlete! Simply by changing up my macros, (Fats, Proteins, Carbohydrates) to coincide with my training program, I’ve been able to shed that little bit of subcutaneous fat without having to do anything extreme, (unless you think 48 kipping pull-ups at the end of your shoulder/back workout is extreme, lol). My meals for the last 7 days are going to be more typical of a cutting diet, and I’ll do my best to document every meal I put in my mouth, for those of you following along. But do remember, what has worked for me might not necessarily work with you. You really need to work with a qualified coach who can create a program suitable for your personal physiology and exercise work-load. I can personally recommend both the team at Cathy Savage Fitness and Jean-Jacques Barrett of Active Performance in Montreal.
Breakfast: 1/2 c whole milk yogurt with 2 T dry oats and 1 tsp honey
Post yoga meal: 2 eggs sunny side up with one tiny piece of rye toast
Mid-day meal: 2 egg omelette filled with grape tomatoes, roasted red pepper, cremini mushrooms and a few thin shavings of smoked gouda
Early evening meal: Seared salmon filet, (about 3 oz) with a couple of olives, some roasted red peppers, blanched cauliflower, and whipped white lentils. I added a few lines of sundried tomato pesto to the plate as well..Yum!
Late evening meal: Pan fried white fish (about 4 oz) with a caper-butter sauce and broccoli. Soooo delicious!
Skyping til 1 in the morning, and got hungry, so went for my usual “insomnia control” meal, a small bowl of oatmeal with some milk, butter and honey…

Hi Michelle, I just wanted you to know I enjoy your blog. I am training for a figure competition in June. I am curious though as to why you are in Mumbai? I love to travel as well. Where is your competition next week being held?

I am in Mumbai teaching yoga for Bikram. I’m not competing until the summer, but I’ve been doing a practice dial in to iron any kinks in my program. Glad you like the blog!!
